my hair update!!!

Okay guys!!! I'm back from school today!! yay!! what a long week! I'm still adjusting to my new class schedule and new apartment. ANYWHOOO Last week I received my unrefined extra virgin coconut oil in the mail and I was sooooooooooo excited!!! So the first thing I did was apply some to my scalp and hair! its was nice... then later on in the week it got gross! lol my processed ends were extra oily and nasty looking but my strands were stronger!! usually when I do a strand test my poor weak hair would just snap and break, but after "drenching" my hair with coconut oil, I saw a drastic change. My hair had some elasticity to it! I pulled and it stretched! it didnt snap! yay! (is that a benefit of coconut oil??) iono but i like it! lol

Sooo this week I did something different to my hair, i did a hot oil treatment with all of my oils and my friends Jamaican Black Castor Oil. then I washed it and put rollers. Ima be rocking this style as my transition style for a min, until i get tired of it.

(so i thought i couldnt sit
under the dryer cuz it would be considered direct heat, so my curls fell... its okay tho)

  1. I really really like this!! I will definitely be trying this as soon as I get some moo-lah (cause I don't have the rollers I need). I can't wait!!!! :)

Anywho, you can definitely sit under a dryer, that is considered indirect heat so its not as 'damaging' to your hair! Did you use anything to set your hair in the rollers?

How did you like the Jamaican Black Castor Oil? I've heard good things about it so I was just wondering. I looooooove the evco (extra virgin coconut oil)!! My hair has been so soft from its use. Plus I like the smell (after it starts smelling like coconut instead of bbq!). You mentioned other oils....what did you use? Don't be tryna hold out! LOL!

Again, I reeeeaaallllyyy like this look on you! Hope mine turns out nice! I see you used the perm rods I almost stole from you! LMAO!

Are you gonna separate the curls at all? And how are you going to maintain the look? Satin bonnet, re-curl, pin curl, loose pony-tail? LOL! I sound like one of those YT girls! Dang!
