From hair crack (relaxers) to all natur-aaalllll!!!

<--- That right there, is new growth!

Boy, I cant believe I ever thought transitioning would be easy! May 2010 was the last time I received a touch up and MAN is my hair growing. At this point in time, to help with my transitioning, I'm rocking a sew-in. Whenever my scalp gets itchy or is beginning to flake, I rub Rosemary oil into each hair part to 1) hydrate my scalp and 2) invigorate my scalp to increase blood flow, therefore increasing hair growth.

#momentofweakness...
Every time I touch my hair (at least whats left out) all i can feel is rough 'nappiness' lol... i promise u, I walk down the hair products aisle of Wal-Mart and all I want to do is purchase a box perm. But I have to be strong! This is going to be a journey... a looooong loooong journey, and I think I'm up for it. Anyway I'm kind of excited on how my natural curls are gonna look like... we shall see.

  1. LOL!!! Whenever you feel weak and want to pick up the creamy crack....either get on the blog and tell about it and one of us will be there to talk you down, or call me (or Rashana!)!

I'm pretty sure everybody that transitioned or is transitioning is tempted...but be strong because the rewards are going to be that much sweeter when you're whipping around your long, thick, and beautiful natural hair! :o)

  2. Lol I felt like this! After about 5 months..... You will be like perm what? You won't even remember how that burning crack feels..... Also, what will turn you off to perm would be to really find out what is in perm and then view pictures of ppl who left perm on too long.... People are walking around BALD!!!! Even though it may feel a little nappy now....... If you moisturize it and oil it.... It will soften out. Trust me
